Overview

Student Council (MS)

Student Council is the student government organization for Ryan Gloyer Middle School. The Executive Council is made up of four officers and eight senators, all in grade 8, who are elected the previous May. They serve as leaders to their peers. In the fall, each academic team appoints five representatives. This adds 50 students to student council. The major goals of the RGMS Student Council are: to serve the middle school community, to support the principals and guidance counselors with various programs, to organize and participate in annual all-school service projects, including but not limited to The Caring Foundation, Hoops for Hearts, and a community food drive, and to train young leaders through conferences and programs of the Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils.
