Welcome to MEDICAL CAREERS CLUB! 
Meeting Information:
Our First informational Meeting will be held on Friday September 27th at 7:40 a.m. 
We will discuss the Goals of this club, Upcoming Speakers, Networking Opportunities and hands on opportunities we plan to provide this year!
 
Once the meeting is over, you can then decide if this club is a good fit for you!

Virtual Opportunities to learn more about the healthcare profession:

HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS MENTORING PROGRAM

Robert Morris University is partnering with Seneca Valley and several other high schools with a virtual Healthcare Professionals High School Mentoring Program during the 2023-2024 school year. The topics are listed below. The sessions occur once a month and will be taped and available if you cannot attend in person.

If you are interested in attending the monthly virtual presentations:

  • Login to Schoolinks
  • Under CAREERS select "FIND WORK-BASED LEARNING" 
  • Find sessions by date
  • Indicate attendance by clicking "ATTEND"

To attend sessions in person at school:

  • Meet in the Senior High room 229 (2nd floor) - bring your laptop, earbuds/headphones

Primary Goal: 
Created in 2005 for students interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field
The focus of the club is to explore the wide range of medical careers
Provide educational direction to support various healthcare careers 
Encourage volunteer opportunities
 
 
Membership Requirements:

Open to students in grades 9-12

Applicants must submit the following materials to be considered for membership:

  • Complete the online registration
  • Submit the following forms to the Sr. High Athletics/Activities Office
    • SVSD Drug Test  
    • SVSD Pay to Participate fee -  (or met the family cap)

(Forms can be downloaded from the Athletics and Activities website. Please drop off your completed forms to Ms. McCauley in the senior high athletics office.)

   

Members are also expected to:

  • Participate in monthly meetings
  • Attend scheduled events
