What we do...

We are currently working to build and reorganize the club to reach the goals of our mission statement.  In recent meetings we have:

• discussed the current climate of our school and the general attitudes about LGBTQ+ issues
• had open forum discussions with LGBTQ+ students and allies, guided by a LGBTQ+ therapist
• discussed what LGBTQ+ students and allies want their teachers to know
• shared ideas for how to better the culture of our school with members of our staff and administration.

Ideas for future activities include:

• screening movies with positive representations of LGBTQ+ characters
• offerring input for possible presentations to staff and students
• creating a display to share information and celebrate LBGTQ+ culture
• organizing events to participate in Day of Silence, Pride, Ally Week, etc.
