Q: What grades can tryout for the Seneca Valley Ultimate Frisbee Club?

A:  The Seneca Valley Ultimate Frisbee Club is open to all students enrolled in grades 7-12 at Seneca Valley School District.

Q: Is this club open for girls to play?

A: We welcome any boy or girl interested in playing ultimate frisbee and no experience or equipment is needed.

Q: When/where does the team practice?

A:  During the spring season, the team practices once or twice a week on one of the fields at Seneca Valley High School, typically after school or early evening depending on field availability. There may be times where practices are held off campus.

Q: When is the season?

A:  The official school season is in the spring but the team participates in local fall and winter leagues

PHUL Fall League: September - October

PHUL Winter League: January - February

Spring Interscholastic League: March - May

Q: Is there a cost to join?

A:  Players should expect to purchase a jersey and pay seasonal league fees. We try our best to keep costs as low as possible. They have run between $30-$100/season in the past. We won’t turn anyone away from Ultimate Frisbee because they can’t afford the fees. Assistance is offered.

Q: Is there paperwork that needs to be filled out to play?

A:  PIAA CIPPE Forms Section 1-6 need to be filled out and turned into the Seneca Valley High School Athletics office before the start of the spring season. Parents will also need to sign their child up on the SV Parent Portal under the sports section. A step by step guide can be found by clicking the Tryout Information tab.
